Plan your summer vacation carefully and enjoy:

Summers are here and so are the long awaited vacations. People all over the world make it a point to take break from their daily routine during this time.

In fact, many plan summer vacation in advance and the travel tickets and boarding arrangements are made quite early to avoid last minute rush.

However, these are not the only criteria which have to be considered. There are many other issues which require due consideration.

If you are travelling abroad, ensure that you have got your travel insurance. This is of great help and relief if you fall sick or any unforeseen calamity befalls you in an alien country.

Always remember to carry a small pouch of medicine for common ailments like cold, fever, diarrhea, vomiting, acidity and the like. This is important as you may not find your medicines in other places, especially if you are travelling to remote areas.

If your kids are travelling with you, plan some activities for them also. Travelling with the kids is most of the times stressful and you end up exhausted rather than rejuvenated at the end of your trip.

Summer is a time for water sports. Be careful when you indulge in these activities. Many drowning accidents are reported in summer. With kids, you need to be extra careful.

Summer is a time for mosquito bites and tick bites. More than being a menace, they are now reasons for many dangerous diseases. Make it a point to apply anti mosquito bite creams to your kids and you.

Dehydration and sunstroke are common in summer. Drink plenty of fluids like tender coconut, fresh juices and of course water. Limit your alcohol intake.
Also travel light, with appropriate clothes and footwear. Don’t forget your sunscreen creams and sunglasses.

It's possible to be safe and have a great time, too.

Wishing you a stress free summer!
