Crafts from recycled material are fun and easy to make

Recycle! This is the new happening word, and it should be in its right. Given the amount of waste we generate every day, no soon we will be surrounded by garbage everywhere. Reuse and recycle is the keyword today.

What is recycling? Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into reusable objects to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, energy usage, air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by decreasing the need for "conventional" waste disposal according to Wikipedia.

There are innumerable ways in which you can recycle things which you otherwise throw away. Instead of throwing them out, reuse yogurt cups, cereal boxes, milk jugs, water bottles (and more) to make easy, affordable decorations for your home. Recycling gives you a sense of satisfaction of saving money and getting creative. Here are a few day-to-day things which we tend to throw away which can be used to make beautiful things.

Paper bags: You can make beautiful paper bags with the already used ones. Just chip in the top edges and paint them in bright colours.

Pots: You can make excellent flowers pots and pot holders with the used bottles, cups and jars. Not only do they look beautiful, but they also add in on the aesthetic factor.

Bags: Old clothes can be re-stitched into tote bags. You can make bags of any size to use it for groceries, provisions, travel and various other purposes.

Glass bottles: Old wine bottles can be repainted and decorated to make beautiful decorative show pieces. They add to the elegance factor.

CDs: Old CDs can be used to make many beautiful decorative items. You can use them to make photo frames, wall clocks, hangings and many more.

Once you start recycling, there is no stopping. You will always be on a lookout for some waste cups, bottles, sticks, clothes and so on so that you can bring in your creativity to make beautiful things out of waste.
