Tattoos have become a fashion statement in today's world

Tattooed hands and bodies are a common scene today. Every second person you meet will be inked somewhere or the other, and these marks are becoming a fashion statement!

Tattoos have a rich history spanning all over the world, from Japan to India, also, a few years ago tattoos were just limited to some class of people like Sailors, Artists, Prisoners and tattoo parlors were very hard to find. But now, with pop stars, actors and sportsmen getting inked, tattoos have hit the mainstream and have touched the level of being the fashion statement and the tattoo parlors are being placed in the mainstream.

The body has become a canvas and the young minds are here to experiment with it. This art which was once a taboo and not very prevalent in the society has touched new levels, this was also the case with body piercing; it was only limited to tribal but later reached the fashion arena. It is like a trend in today’s young minds to try something new and something different, thus, tattoos emerged from mere body prickingand sketching to a form of artwork spreading all over the world. Tattoos add to your fashion, provided they are well drawn and well placed. Many sports stars, actors, and other famous personalities are inked and they have made this art famous; people like David Beckham, Johnny Depp, Adam Levine and others.

People get inked not just for fun; some do because they might find it cool, but some tattoos signify their theories of life, and some signify their ideals or others. The main reason for tattoos to reach the fashion arena can be attributed to the way they enhance your sex appeal; fashion models can be a great example for this and actors of course.

Though they have gained importance, they mustn’t be consumed blindly. If you are getting inked, do it for a reason!
