Having a garden once meant large open spaces in your courtyard or backyard in bungalows, but not anymore. One can plant small potted plants in wine bottles, bowls and tin cans which occupies less space. Indoor plants helps in proper oxygen circulation and keeps the air fresh. One need not spend hours to look after the plants because it needs less maintenance. Indoor plants are used for home décor also, making it look beautiful from the exterior.
The plants which need low maintenance –
  1. Guzmanias are popular indoor flowering plants and they require less maintenance. These can be placed in small planter bowls. These plants thrive well in low light and high humidity and can be watered twice a week.
  1. Zamifolia is a plant which grows vertical and thrives in low light. It does not require water daily.
  1. Monstera is one of the most beautiful varieties of house plants. Commonly known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, it thrives well in low light and can be watered once in 3-4 days.
  1. If you love flowers, the Peace Lily is an ideal plant to grow indoors. It does not require sunlight and removes harmful toxins like ammonia, acetone, methyl alcohol, benzene, acetone, ethyl acetate.
  1. Carnivorous plants like the Venus flytrap and the Pitcher Plant traps mosquitoes and insects, making the room pest free.
