Divine Beauty - Dandeli


India is indeed blessed with nature’s most adorable gifts. India is filled with such alluring spots. One such beautiful spot is Dandeli, located in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. It is one of the most loved spots of nature lovers and adventurers. There are large forests with its rich flora and fauna that distinguishes this place from all the others. 

 The Enchanted Beauty:
It is a very small place but large in terms of beauty. The climate is tropical highland climate and is temperate throughout the year. The summer prevails from March to May. It receives heavy rainfall during August and November. The best season to visit Dandeli is October to March. 

 Located on the banks of river Kali, it becomes a dream spot for all campers and rafters. Not only that, many other adventure sports like Mountain biking, cycling and trekking can also be tried here. Apart from these, nature walking, boating, bird watching, crocodile spotting, angling etc. are other activities that can be done too. The fauna is inexplicable and wildlife enthusiasts are always mad about it. The wildlife sanctuary is a must visit! The jungle safari is provided to the people to experience the richness of the fauna. 

 It is home to many wild animals like Tiger, Leopard, Black Panthers, Elephants, Guar, Antelopes, Bears, variety of reptiles and 300 species of birds. 

 Tourism and Major Attractions:
This place attracts many tourists every year from all over the world. It is one of the only places in the world where rafting is possible even during the peak months of summer.  It has many important places like Kali resort, Bison resort, Jungle Camp, Om forest.

 Thus, it is an ideal vacation spot and a ‘must visit’ for everyone to enjoy the beauty of nature.
