Fruits and Vegetables – they look and function for body parts:
Nature has its own way in
treating us with foods that are good for us in one way or the other.
There are many fruits and vegetables which bear a striking
resemblance to our body parts and are hence beneficial to them. Here
are some of them:
1.Walnuts: These
resemble the human brain. Rich in omega-3, anti-oxidants, Vitamin E
and other minerals, they do wonders to your brain.
2.Papaya: The seeds of
these fruit are similar to the human eye. Needless to say they are
loaded with Vitamin A and carotene which are beneficial to the eye.
3.Carrot: If carrots are
cut in circles, they look like the human eye. Carrots help in
improving the vision as they are rich in Vitamin A and beta carotene.
4.Drumsticks: These look
like the body nerves and are in rich in minerals and vitamins. They
energize the nerves and strengthen them.
5.Kidney Beans: As the
name suggests, these are said to help in the proper functioning of
the kidneys.
6.Bitter Gourd: Any
guesses? Bitter gourd resembles the pancreas. Including small amounts
of this veggie improves the working of the pancreas.
7.Tomatoes: When cut,
they have four chambers resembling heart. Tomatoes indeed are good
for the heart as they are known to reduce cholesterol levels.
So the next time you go
to the grocery shop, stop and observe the fruits and vegetables.
Mother Nature may be telling you what is good for which part of the
body (Health) in her own silent way.
