10 interior design hacks that will transform your Home

Here are some simple hacks to transform your home in a subtle way and make your day more efficient -

1.Mirrors – Use wall length mirrors to make your room look large. The added bonus is that they also reflect light making the room look brighter.

2.Light and Dark Paint – To create a feeling of more space and play with the depth and narrowness of your rooms use light and dark paint strategically. For example, if your room is too tall, paint the roof dark so that it will appear lower.

3.Use waste space – Unused spaces can be adapted to incorporate sliding and hidden shelves where you can store your extra stuff in out of sight. Just make sure there’s enough space to make a shelf.

4.Paint Bank – While painting your room or your house, make sure you store some in a transparent container for patch work in the future.

5.Steps within shelves – Having to go through the books or other stuff in deep and narrow shelves is always a hassle. Build some steps inside to make each row easily visible and accessible.

6.Anti slip carpets - You can attach strips of rubber along the width of your carpet underneath to prevent them from slipping.

7.Foam padding for furniture – Attach foam pads to the backside of your furniture so that they don’t ruin your wall.

8.LED light strips – Use LED light strips to create different hues and ambience in your home.

9.LED strips in your closet – These save space and can fit every nook and cranny. And you don’t have to grope in the dark.

10.Drawers under your bed – Place them to store blankets and pillow covers and what now. If you make enough compartments, you can even store some personal items in there.
