It is important that we all take the right kind of precautions before the monsoons arrive. There will be millions of sources claiming to know the right kind of precautions. But how many of you would believe something a single person thinks? According to the experts, the following steps are required to be taken care of before monsoons.
  1. Weather-proof your house and secure all the fittings so the house doesn’t undergo any kind of damage during the rains.
  2. Trim your trees and cut down heavy branches which may end up breaking and falling on and around your house.
  3. Direct water canals for the rain water to go.
  4. Clean the clogged gutters so the water can easily escape and not cause stagnation.
  5. Buy lots of food and other requirements and keep it at home. So when it’s raining you don’t have to get out.
  6. Take care of your health. Buy a good quality rain coat and an umbrella that will avoid the entire drenching nuisance.
  7. Get rid of stagnant water that may be a joint for mosquito breeding. This could be dangerous.
  8. Arrange car pooling. The traffic during monsoons could go out of hand
Most importantly, be prepared mentally for all the late hours, traffic and drenching of expensive clothes. Rains could take a toll on you but with these hacks, you can easily get through monsoons!
