While there is still some time before Christmas arrives, the fun and excitement that’s filled in the air and the cheerful eagerness with which one looks forward to Christmas is best experienced than said.  Christmas shopping, festive cooking, sprucing up the home and decorating the Christmas tree do take up your time. However, there are couple of interesting things you could do until Christmas arrives and make it a really interesting and an enjoyable wait. 

 Here are a list of things that you could indulge and get your family and friends involved as well to add a dash of excitement to them.

 1.   Read Christmas stories to kids.
2.   Make a list of 100 things that you are grateful to God.
3.   Have a ‘family shoot’ and take silly photos to be used for your Christmas cards.
4.   Visit an Old age home and distribute gifts to the elderly inmates.
5.   Buy toys to donate for charity.
6.   Buy new ‘pajamas’ for your kids; they could wear them on Christmas Eve and wake up very cute in their pajamas on Christmas day to open their gifts.
7.   Go carolling with friends.
8.   Plan to watch Christmas movies like ‘Muppets Christmas Carol’ or ‘Home Alone’ series with family during nights.
9.   Have a Christmas party with friends with games like ‘minute-to-win’.
10. Make your own Christmas crafts and ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree.

 Christmas is a festival celebrated world over with much fanfare. But the spirit of Christmas lies in giving and sharing with the less fortunate. Let’s make this Christmas a meaningful one by imbibing in our kids the quality of helping the needy, and celebrate a Christmas they would cherish for a lifetime.
