Look perfect before getting hitched! : Tips for bridal makeup

With the wedding season coming up and people gearing up to take their vows in front of the father, around the fire pit or in front of the Quran, it is time to concentrate on catching everybody’s attention with your looks. Yes, looks doesn’t matter. But we marry only once (at least, we’re supposed to) so why not make it a special celebration? And there is nothing wrong in asking for looking the best on that day. Brides are supposed to catch the eyes of all the people who are to attend the wedding. We have heard of people complaining about the bride’s makeup. They thinkit’s way too simple at times or overdone most of the times.

How much is too much? Here, we present to you a few tips on bridal makeup for Indian brides.

• Keep your skin healthy. Only when it is healthy from inside, will it glow from outside. Drink a lot of coconut water and opt for fruit facials or other natural products rather than chemical products.
• Cleanse your skin first. Then start with the makeup. Use a concealer that will hide your pimple, scars and blemishes. Understand your skin tone and put a foundation accordingly. With the brown Indian skin do not opt for lighter skin colours.
• Eyes are one of the most attractive features of the women. Dress them right. Use some good kajal - the most basic Indian cosmetic. Go for mascara that will make your lashes look longer. Use a jet black liner as it is not advisable to experiment with colors on your wedding. Pink eye shadow with grey strokes will give you a perfect smoky-eye look but pick the color according to your attire.
• If you have plump lips, go for lip colours like proper red or dark maroon. Use a dark coloured lip liner with it. In case you have thin lips, use a candy pink color and apply shiny gloss.
• With heavy jewels and accessories, keep your make up light, especially if the wedding is during the day. At night, keep the makeup heavy and flashy.

The most important key is to have that natural glow on your face. You don’t have to work hard on it as it shall come naturally as you await the wedding! With these tips, make sure you have a happy wedding and a happier married life thereafter!
