It is hard to avoid unhealthy goofs because they are typically so tasty and usually easily accessible. Problem is, they jeopardise our well-being and learning why they are bad should be able to help you make better dietary choices daily.

1.Packaged Cookies

These are usually rich in trans-fat and are mostly made with partially hydrogenated cooking oils. Not to mention their high sugar content.

2.Coffee Creamer
You might think you consume these in small doses so the nutrient profile should not matter. But even in the smallest doses, these add up especially if you are a big coffee drinker. Opt for healthier alternatives like almond, low fat or skim milk.

3.Chips
Chips are calories dense and high in fat. And with chips, portion control is very difficult. 

4.Energy Drinks
They are high in sugar even though they claim to be crucial for replenishing, hydrating and getting your vitamins. 

5.Frozen Yogurt
Frozen yogurt contains less fat than ice cream but it is still loaded with sugar. So, if you are eating every day for dessert, it can really add up. Instead make some at home using unsweetened yogurt and fresh fruits.

6.Granola Bars
These are often loaded with hydrogenated oils and sugar. Instead, reach for a piece of whole fruit and a handful of nuts.

7.Ketchup
One of the main ingredients in ketchup is high fructose corn syrup. Even a single tablespoon of ketchup can contain 4 grams of sugar.

8.Margarine
This contains trans-fat, the worst kind of fat. Trans fats have a negative impact on your cholesterol levels and your heart health.

9.Pancakes
Pancake mix contains little more than refined flour. Add butter and syrup and you’re eating refined flour topped with fat and sugar.

10.Soda
These are very high on the sugar content and many studies have shown them to even melt bones over long periods of time.

11.Sugary Cereals
Always check the nutrition label before you buy your cereal. Some cereals contain as much sugar as a candy bar.

12.White Bread
Compared to whole grain flour, refined white flour has no nutritional value. No nutritional value but lots of sugar and processed ingredients.
