The traditional Indian bride had a very limited choice when it came to her dressing because the age old customs had made it a compulsion to follow certain rules like wearing a red saree or lehenga, a particular type of jewellery and the like.

But today, the Indian bride is ready to experiment with her looks and she not only wants to look beautiful but also she wants to look different. Let us see some of the changes that have taken place over time in the Indian bride dressing.

The new bride is now ready to test with different colours like gold, turquoise green, baby pink and many more. This has widened the scope of dressing and accessorising.
The jewellery is now more of light weight and delicate rather than the traditional ones. Also, gold is not the only option. Silver jewellery, temple jewellery and others are also being tried and liked.

Engaging of fashion designers for designing bridal clothing is not a trend but a necessity now. And given their vast experience, every bride is assured of looking great.

The make-up, colour coordination and the look are decided months in advance and the bride takes care of her health and looks with the right diet and exercise. 

So, on the D-day, the bride is the perfect blend of stunning looks and poise. The dressing up of Indian bride has indeed come a long way.
