As winter subsides,
The Nature wakes up for a new life;
The spring rings in positivity
For a glorious long life!

Ugadi is a festival of New Year for all the Hindus.  Ugadi means starting of a new Yuga or age. This is an auspicious day for the Hindus. Mythology goes, that Lord Brahma, the creator, began a series of wonderful creations, including that of the earth and all the life forms that live in it.

It is also said that the Mother Nature wakes up from her slumber and gives birth to new plants and trees for a green blanket on this Earth.

This festival is celebrated across India in different names. The main aspect of Ugadi is to forget the past and start a new and healthy future with positivity. Sweetness and bitterness is a part of life and hence people offer neem and jaggery. Obbattu with mango rasayana (milk with pulp) and mango rice are the common dishes prepared by all.

As this festival fast approaches, people go shopping for new clothes and also buy mango leaves, neem leaves, jiggery, tamarind, coconuts, fruits, marigold flower garlands for pooja.

This, Chandraman Ugadi makes your life more prosperous with positivity.
