- · Plan your lighting layout: It is very important to decide what features / things you would like to light up and come up with lighting plan. Starting with the entrance door to the pathway, lawns, trees and fence (if you please) explore all the options which you could adorn with lights.
- · Incandescent or LED: There is always the dilemma to choose between incandescent and LED lighting. However, the clear winner is LED due its longevity, energy efficiency and safety features. Nevertheless, incandescent bulbs score on brightness.
- · Bulb options: Depending on the quality of light emitted by the bulbs, there are options such as color, frosted or pattern bulbs.
- · String lights or Standalone lights: Strings lights are small lights enclosed in transparent cases. These are best options for wrapping posts, poles, trees or make a garland of lights to adorn your pathway. While standalone lights could be used to light up strategic places like just above the entrance door etc.
While you meticulously plan your Christmas
activities, do take time to come up with a plan for your outdoor lighting as
