If you want to follow your dreams
Each one of us has hopes
and aspirations. Everybody wants to live their life on their terms
and conditions. Some of us dream of taking the unconventional path
and make it big. Others want to be contended with what they have and
live a peaceful life.
It is always a difficult
path when you want to follow your dreams, especially if they are
unconventional ones. Often we hear a software engineer turn a
full-time musician, a dentist becoming a baker and an MBA graduate
becoming an organic farmer. Most of these people claim that they are
living fuller life once they found their area of interest.
Treading the conventional
path needs strong determination and sound decision-making capacity.
And one most important thing, self-confidence. You need to be
confident to follow your dreams. You need to be willing to let go of
some things to get some other things life. Also, financial decisions
and constraints have to be weighed well before to avoid confusion
later.
The societal pressures
are high whenever you decide to travel the less taken path. Be
prepared for that. People criticize, people judge. But you don’t
lose confidence in yourself. Have faith. Remember you cannot please
everybody. Learn to prioritize what is important. Rest all can wait.
Trying to do too many things at a time does more harm than good. If
your ambitions are small, you will not take them very seriously. Big
goals are ironically more likely to stick because they are worth
ignoring smaller goals which tempt you now and then.
We all have great ideas.
Each one of us has an incredibly high potential to make an enormous
difference to ourselves and the world. It takes sheer willpower to
stick to your beliefs and make your dreams a reality.
