- Himalayan Queen
The Himalayan
Queen’s journey on the Kalka-Shimla route has made it to the
Guinness Records as the one being on the steepest track in the world.
It passes through 102 tunnels and over 82 bridges, and through a very
scenic route. This railway track completes a circuit off 96kms and
was founded in 1903 and has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site since 2008.
- Darjeeling Himalayan Railway
Originating from
Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, this 78km track laid during the British
Era is among the most popular tracks due to its use in many Bollywood
movies. It runs along the famous Hill Cart Road, and offers a

The Konkan Railway
