10 Health & Fitness Essentials for your Travel Bag

As much as most of us love traveling, the act of packing your bag remains a daunting task for most. But if we can refer to a list with all the essentials for a healthy trip, how much easier could life get! Here are 10 essentials to carry with you on your trips, to make your travel healthier.

1.Sunscreen
Pack a good sunscreen with the right SPF for your skin type and apply generously on your skin before leaving in the morning and reapply as needed. Travelling requires many hours spent sightseeing under the sun, which can harm the skin in more ways than one.

2.Bandages
Especially if you are traveling in summer, there are always chances of blisters caused by heat or by walking around for too long. Bandages come in handy at such times.

3.Pain killers
Headaches from too much heat, or aches from too much activity, can all be relieved with the right pain-killers.

4.Anti-allergic medicines
You are traveling to a new place, and anything there could potentially cause allergies and ruin your trip. Take caution, and carry an antihistamine that works wonders on allergies and can also act as a perfect sleep aid.

5.Hand sanitizer
For all those times when you cannot wash your hands with water, but don’t want to carry the germs, hand sanitizers are lifesaver!

6.Hydrocortisone cream
Itches from insect bites, poison ivy, or reaction from something you touched, can all be taken care of with this topical ointment.

7.Ear plugs
You need to get a good night’s sleep to keep you energized for the day’s activities. A snoring travel partner, or noise from outside the place you are staying, could be easily avoided with the help of good ear plugs.

8.Water Bottle

Carry an empty water bottle with you that you can refill at the hotel before heading out each morning. Staying hydrated helps deal with the stress of a new place, irregular meals, and keeps your skin fresh even after spending so much time outdoors.

9.Snack Bars
Carry healthy protein bars with you to deal with hunger when you may not have access to food, and will also help avoid munching on junk food.

10.Vitamin C
Vitamin C is very helpful in boosting our immune systems helping us deal with any infections we may pick up during our trip.
