Choose the Right Hair Color to Look Fabulous
Have
you had a hair color accident recently, with friends and family
complaining about your choice? Don’t worry! It happens to all of
us. The key to choosing the right hair color is to know your skin
tone, and assessing which color will best suit you.
How
to find out your skin tone?
For
a quick check of your skin’s undertone, just flip your palm face up
and look at the veins in your hand and wrist under natural light. If
your veins appear to be blue or of purple hue, then you have cool
undertones. If they appear to have a greenish cast then you have warm
undertones! If you can't really say that they favor one shade over
the other, then you likely have neutral undertones. And,
congratulations, any of the hair colors will suit you. So, you have
the privilege of making wild choices!
Here’s
your hair color guide:
If
you have cool skin with red undertones, then ash blonde is the color
for you! The various shades of ash blonde include platinum, ice,
silver and champagne. Any of these shades would go well with your
skin color, and make you look hot. And, if you have cool skin with
blue undertones, warm blonde and its many shades including gold,
caramel, amber, honey, or butterscotch would give you a sassy look!
Coming
to people with warm skin undertones, you could never go wrong with a
shade of cool brown, like chestnut, mocha, dark chocolate, and dark
auburn. Pick a warm brown shade like golden brown, honey, amber,
mahogany, or cinnamon if you have medium skin with warm undertones.
If
you are looking for some red shades, you need to have fair, cool skin
for your tresses to compliment your skin color, and highlight your
looks. Auburn, burgundy, and true red should be the color of your
choice! If you have neutral skin undertones or bluish undertones in
fair skin, then warm red is for you. Pick your favorite from
strawberry blonde, amber, copper, or rust shades.
Cool
black shades are great for people with warm undertones, you can
choose from espresso, licorice, blue-black, or true black. If you
crave warm black shades like dark mocha, cocoa, or brown-black, then
make sure you have cool undertones to your fair or medium skin.
Hmmm….So,
this was a brief tutorial on choosing the right hair color for you.
