“It is so simple to be happy but so difficult to be simple” so goes the saying. It is not that difficult to have a stress-free life but still people all over the world are stressed. Unlike yesteryears, today we have so many gadgets to ease our life and save time. We don’t find time to pursue our interests and hobbies. Why is this happening? How can you make yourself and your family stress-free? We give to you 10 easy steps (or habits rather) to make life stress free and more meaningful.

1.Get up 20 minutes earlier than usual: Just do this and you will see that you have miraculously found time to do things that you were not able to do earlier.

2.Exercise: Exercising is a must to flush out negativity and bring in the happy hormones. If you are pressed for time, at least do a brisk walk for 20 minutes every day.

3.Meditate: A 15-minute meditation regime every day soothes your mind and clears it from all negativity.

4.Identify your stressors: there are some people and things which bring in stress. Identify them and avoid them or ignore them.

5.Don’t procrastinate:  Procrastinating brings in stress by always reminding us of unfinished work. So try not to postpone things unnecessarily.

6.Multitasking is not always good: You may pride yourself in multi-tasking your work and chores. But many a times this leads to stress as you have to concentrate on so many things at a time, and you may miss out on something. It is better to single-task sometimes. It makes you stress-free.

7.Declutter: Organising your home and office and removing unwanted things not only makes it look neat but also removes negativity. It calms you down and makes life easy.

8.Don’t control everything: Having total control over everything all the time is not possible. It is sometimes fine if you have to let go of little things. Being too particular about everything makes life more stressful.

9.Eat your food on time: Many times it has been observed that due to improper intake of food, we experience fatigue and feel stressed for no reason. It is very important to have fresh food on time. Eating at the right time everyday makes you healthy and more active.

10.Relax: it is important to relax even in-between your work. If you are in office, take a 10-minute break every 2 hours. This will rejuvenate you and make your productivity even better.
