Holiday Destination – Prague
If you are planning for a holiday and you want to go to a place that is modern yet ancient,
Prague is the place to be. The capital and largest city of Czech
Republic, Prague has an enviable history and contemporary freshness.
Some of the must visit
places at Prague are:
Prague Castle – or just
hrad to Czechs – is Prague’s most popular attraction. Looming
above the Vltava's left bank, its serried ranks of spires, towers and
palaces dominate the city centre like a fairy-tale fortress.
Strolling across Charles
Bridge is everybody’s favorite Prague activity. However, by 9am
it’s a 500m-long fairground, with an army of tourists squeezing
through the hawkers beneath the impassive gaze of the baroque statues
that line the parapets.
Prague Jewish Museum:
This museum consists of six Jewish monuments clustered together in
Josefov: the Maisel Synagogue; the Pinkas Synagogue; the Spanish
Synagogue; the Klaus Synagogue; the Ceremonial Hall; and the Old
Jewish Cemetery. Each one speaks of a different history.
There are many other
places which boast of rich history which are worth a visit like the
John Lennon Wall, Prague Beer Museum, Wenceslas Square to name a few.
